Our Beginnings . . .

Primo Sustainable Products had its beginnings as an Italian Venetian Plasters application company. Our passion for the enduring elegance and old world charm of Italian plasters sparked the fires of creativity in our ambition to create a plaster product that was not imported from Europe. We sought to produce lime and marble based plaster and paint products that were manufactured in the United States using high quality regional raw materials. Our lime comes from one of the purest sources in North America. The base for all of our plasters is aged lime putty. As the lime reacts with carbon dioxide and calcifies, it returns to its natural state: stone. Our eco-friendly finishes are created using centuries old formulas consisting of aged lime putty, crushed marble, and other natural binders.

As our company name indicates, we are interested in providing products that are ecologically friendly and help maintain a healthy environment. We pride ourselves in producing plaster, lime paint, and wax sealer products that contain very little to no V.O.C.'s (volatile organic compounds). In fact, lime is a natural biocide and is resistant to the growth of mold and mildew. Our lime putty, plasters, and lime paints are produced in small batches by hand and are packaged in recyclable containers.

Eco-Friendly Natural Finishes

Our natural finishes are ideal for use in both commercial and residential projects and will meet the requirements for green building construction. We do not use harsh chemicals in the processing of our products that in turn release harmful gases into your work and living areas. In fact, lime-based finishes absorb carbon dioxide helping to maintain the balance of our environment.
